Jesus Christ is The Lord’s Chosen.

She joined Univeristy, but we went into smoking and lesbianism.
God used The Lord’s Chosen to bring her back to Christ. Now she has genuine salvation, she is no longer smoking, she is no more into lesbianism.
She is now a new creature in Jesus Christ.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV

The Lord’s Chosen is a blessing to humanity, and today, our Canada and USA campus fellowship brethren celebrate the 23rd anniversary of our church.

God has faithfully advanced His purpose, and no man can stop the plan of God for this twenty-first-century, end-time revival movement.

This is a revival of grassroots evangelism all over the world as we obey the command to preach the gospel (Mark 16:15-17; Luke 10:19); a revival of apostolic Christian experiences in the Body of Christ as God pours out His Spirit and confirms His Word (1 Peter 2:9-10; Acts 2:17; Matthew 10:7-8); a revival of heaven consciousness among believers who are called to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, preparing for eternity (Matthew 6:33; John 14:1-3); and a generational soul-winning mandate to bring ten billion souls, into the kingdom of God until Jesus comes (Matthew 24:14). “He that commits sin is of the devil.” 1 John 3:8

If you are into lying, cheating, bittiness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarrelling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, speaking evil of others, taking or giving bribes, selfishness, deception, kidnapping, smuggling, falsification of documents and other sinful character dispositions, you must repent.

Such evil and wicked character will hinder the manifestation of abundant blessings upon your life. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution (private or public), patronizing the prostitutes, abortion, lesbianism, homosexualism (1 Corinthians 6:9-10), or any form of immorality, you need to repent.

“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

Whatever the area of your sin, you must repent and make amends. Are you into idolatry, do you make use of charms, rituals, bow down to images, rob or steal? Are you into cultism, whether open or secret cult? Do you practice witchcraft? Do you smoke cigarettes, weed, vape or hemp? Do you sell them or offer them to people? Do you smoke or sniff hard drugs such as cocaine, heroin, captain black, hashish or other banned drugs? Are you lusting after - lusting after men or women, covetous, alcohol drinking? You must repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.

Are you into the business of marriage and divorce? Are you married to more than one person? Repent! Marriage is for better or for worse until death separates ( Matthew 19:3-6). Wherefore that are no more two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together let no man put asunder (separates). Amend your ways and God will bless you.

Proverbs 28:13 says, “He that covers his sins shall not prosper, but whosoever confess and forsakes them shall have mercy.”

You must not therefore hide your sins. You must repent of them, confess and forsake them.

Are you into worldliness? Don’t you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?

James 4:4 states, “…know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”

If you truly want to follow Christ, you must turn away from the practices of the world, like bleaching your skin, painting your lips, eyes, nails, or body, wearing attachments, weaves, wigs, or earrings. You must stop adorning yourself with bangles or other jewelry, and perming or frying your hair.

Remember what Jacob did in Genesis 35:2-4 he told his household to put away the strange gods, purify themselves, and change their garments. They gave up their earrings and idols because they knew they could not approach God while holding on to the world’s ways.

Genesis 35:2-4 “Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments: And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went. And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.”

Are you one of those who put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian) or perhaps you wear trousers as a woman?
Read Deuteronomy 22:5), that is abomination (Revelation 21:8,27).

Deutonomy 22:5 “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.”

Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Revelation 21:27 “And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.”

Therefore, make up your mind, repent, and give your life to Jesus Christ.

Are you spoilt?

Jeremiah 4:30 says, And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.”

A Christian is not a sinner, and a sinner is not a Christian.
If you must be a blessed child of God, you must repent of your sins and give your life to Jesus Christ. If you believe in Jesus Christ today, the righteousness of God will come into your life, and an abundant life will be your portion.

If you neglect this call to repentance and salvation, you will not escape hellfire (Hebrews 2:3).

In Luke 13:3, Jesus said, “I tell you, Nay: but except ye repent, Ye shall likewise perish.”

Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first eh kingdom of God and His righteouness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Peace, Joy, healing, deliverance, and all blessings will be your portion. You will make Heaven at Last as you continue in righteousness.

If you have decided now to give your life to Jesus Christ and to forsake your sinful lifestyle, you need to pray this prayer:

Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus Christ.
Father, I confess that I am a sinner.
All my sins I confess to you.
I am very sorry for all my sins (mention those you can remember).
Lord, I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore.
I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification.
Almighty God, use the Blood of Jesus Christ to wash my sins away.
Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Saviour. I surrender my life to you. Cancel my name from the book of death and write my name in the book og life.
Give me power to sin no more. In Jesus name I pray. Amen!!

By the age of 40, one in two Canadians, equivalent to 50%, have encountered or currently grapple with a mental illness. This widespread issue ranks as a leading cause of disability in the country, resulting in approximately 500,000 employed Canadians being unable to attend work each week and preventing students from doing well in their coursework.

According to a report from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), the cost of disability leave due to mental illness is approximately twice as much as leave taken for physical illness. Additionally, the economic burden of mental illness in Canada is staggering, estimated at $51 billion per year. This figure encompasses healthcare expenses, lost productivity, and declines in health-related quality of life. For more information, you can refer to the report available on CAMH's website.

Harvard's Belief in Faith-Based Education

In a 2020 study conducted by Harvard's School of Public Health, the research found that people who attended religious services at least once a week were significantly less likely to die from “deaths of despair,” including deaths related to suicide, drug overdose, and alcohol poisoning.

Upon adjusting for various factors, the research demonstrated a significant correlation: women who attended religious services at least once a week exhibited a striking 68% lower risk of death from despair compared to those who never attended services. Similarly, men who participated in weekly services showed a notable 33% decrease in the risk of death from despair.

Imagine if psychologists could formulate a drug with comparable healing effects; it would be praised as a miracle drug.

That Miracle Drug is God’s Word

In a world marked by anxiety, loneliness, and isolation, there is a source of peace and hope that surpasses understanding: faith-based education. The Bible offers solace to those struggling with mental health, reminding us in Psalm 34:18 that God is close to the brokenhearted and brings peace to troubled minds.

“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)

Through faith, we cultivate a positive outlook on life, finding strength and assurance in God's promises. Isaiah 41:10 assures us not to fear, for God is with us, providing comfort in times of distress and anxiety.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10)

In a world where loneliness and isolation are rampant, faith-based education fosters a sense of community and belonging. We are reminded to love our neighbours as ourselves (Matthew 22:37–39), extending a hand of compassion to those in need.

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” (Matthew 22:37–39)

Christ is God’s Word.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:1–4)

And it continues:

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...” (John 1:14)

Jesus Christ is the living Word of God, God's full expression in human form. Let us embrace the transformative power of Christ, knowing that through belief and obedience, we find healing for both our minds and our souls.

“And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” (2 Corinthians 10:6)

In faith, we discover peace amidst turmoil, hope amidst despair, and love amidst loneliness.

JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!

At YorkU, we’re all navigating so much: courses, campus life, personal growth, and a desire to live with integrity in our walk with God. Somewhere along the way, you may have paused and wondered about this passage in the Bible:

“But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head...”
(1 Corinthians 11:5, KJV)

For many of us, it’s not something we grew up thinking deeply about. So when we hear it taught or read it in Scripture, it makes us ask, “What does this really mean?”

A Quiet, Sacred Symbol

What the Bible presents here is not a trend or tradition. It is a spiritual sign. A woman covering her head when she prays or prophesies is acknowledging something bigger than herself: God’s order and His presence.

Paul goes on to say:

“For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.”
(1 Corinthians 11:10)

There is something unseen and holy happening during worship. Angels are watching. God’s presence is near. The head covering becomes more than fabric. It becomes a symbol of reverence, a way of saying, “Lord, I recognize Your authority in this moment.”

Is This Just for Married Women?

It is easy to think so, especially when Paul mentions headship:

“The head of the woman is the man...” (v. 3)

But when we look closer, Paul does not limit this teaching to wives. He does not say “every wife.” He says “every woman.” And he roots his reasoning not in marriage or modern culture, but in the creation story. He points to the way God designed things from the very beginning (verses 8–9).

So this is not about who you are with, or your season in life. It is about your heart posture before God, no matter your status.

Hair, Beauty, and Worship

Paul also acknowledges that a woman’s hair is a glory to her:

“But If a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.” (v.15)

Hair is a gift, a personal crown. But in worship, we set aside even our glory to honour God's. Covering your head in prayer is like saying, “God, even the things I am proud of, I place under Your lordship.”

It is quiet. It is powerful. And it is deeply personal.

A Life of Prayer, A Heart Ready

Whether you are headed to class, stopping by Scott Library, or sitting quietly before God in your room, moments of prayer come throughout the day. Keeping a simple scarf with you is not about rules. It is about readiness. It is about saying yes to those sacred moments.

And when someone sees you and wonders why you pray this way, they may not need a sermon. Sometimes all it takes is your smile, your peace, and maybe a verse that gently points them to the same grace you have found in Scripture.

For our YorkU brothers in Christ, the reason you are not to cover your head while praying or ministering is clearly explained in Scripture: “Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head” (1 Corinthians 11:4).

After graduating university, Ethan spent three difficult years trying different businesses and not making any money. But when he finally started seeking God seriously, everything changed. God refined him, revealed his real gifts, gave him clarity on his purpose, and he began to see real fruit.

At the time, Ethan was struggling financially and had just come out of a failed startup. He was unsure about his future and questioned whether his video skills could lead to stable income. With encouragement from a friend and fellow believer, Ethan committed to trying one more time, with one condition: if he could make $3,000 in one month, he would continue freelancing. If not, he would get a job.

He started with zero dollars. He took on all kinds of small video work, from food to music content. He began applying spiritual exercises: fasting, midnight prayers, attending Bible study, and giving first fruits. The first money he made, he gave back to God. He tithed and sowed seed, even when it was difficult.

The first client paid him $500/month. Then $1,000/month. Then $1,500. Eventually, after months of consistency, outreach, and spiritual focus, he reached a point where he signed a $6,000/month deal and hit $10,000/month total revenue.

• How fasting and midnight prayer helped reset his focus

• Why he tithed and gave his first client payment as first fruits

• What it meant to him to not make money an idol

• How being present in the campus fellowship helped when things got discouraging

He emphasizes that the business growth only happened after his mindset and priorities shifted. The challenge taught him that results come from consistency and spiritual discipline, not just effort.

True repentance goes beyond confession; it requires forsaking sin and making amends where necessary. Just as Zacchaeus in Luke 19:8-9 (KJV) restored what he had taken unjustly, restitution demonstrates a genuine commitment to turning away from sinful habits and embracing a life of holiness.

“And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.” And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. Luke 19:8-9 (KJV)

I started sharing the gospel on campus, passionate about leading others to Christ, obeying Matthew 28:19 (KJV): “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”

However, a weakness I allowed the devil to use against me was pornography and masturbation. The battle started long before I realized its grip upon my life. When I first came to Canada, I now understand that the enemy used a human agent to introduce me to sin, just as Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) warns.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world.” Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)

In primary school, a classmate named Ninab showed me an explicit website, and that moment planted a seed of addiction. I was hooked, just as James 1:14-15 (KJV) states: “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”

Even as I entered college, I fought hard, trying numerous content-blocking apps, some paid and some free, but I never found the freedom I desperately desired. This reflects the divine promise of God in John 8:36 (KJV), which says: “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” I realized that true freedom does not come from human effort alone but through Christ’s deliverance.

My struggle continued until one day, I decided to open up to my parents. With fear and hesitation, I told them about my battle with pornography and masturbation. They were shocked—as strong, Bible-believing, Holy Spirit-filled Christians, they never expected this from me. But looking back, I now see it as a blessing and a privilege to have parents who love the Lord.

Proverbs 22:6 (KJV) reminds us: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Instead of condemning me, they made me kneel, laid their hands on me, and prayed fervently for my deliverance, just as James 5:16 (KJV) says: “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” That moment planted a seed of hope.

Later, during a family prayer meeting, we had a visiting elder couple in our home. As we gathered to pray and talk about Christ, an opportunity came to confess struggles and request prayers, as encouraged in 1 John 1:9 (KJV): “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” I knew this was my moment. I stepped forward and said, "I need to be free from this sin." Everyone in the room stretched their hands toward me, praying serious, powerful prayers.

But then… fear crept in.

You see, I had a personal blog/newsletter, where I shared my salvation testimony with just 61 friends subscribed to my newsletter. At first, it felt safe. But then, I noticed something unexpected—the post started to gain momentum, reaching over 1,000 reads. I was terrified. Scared of being judged, ridiculed, or misunderstood, forgetting that 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) says: “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

So what did I do?

I took down the testimony.

And I now believe that in doing so, I gave the enemy a legal right to make a comeback into my life. The urges for pornography and masturbation doubled, just as Matthew 12:43-45 (KJV) warns that when an unclean spirit leaves a man and later returns, it comes back with seven more wicked spirits, making the condition worse. Instead of standing on Revelation 12:11 (KJV)—“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony”—I silenced the testimony that glorified God, that encouraged myself, and could have encouraged others. Hiding my deliverance weakened my authority over the enemy.

Recovering All: My Journey Back to Freedom

I found myself in a state of backsliding, rising and falling, failure at the edge of breakthrough, but I refuse to stay there. Joel 2:25 (KJV) gives me hope: “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm.”

Just as God told David in 1 Samuel 30:8 (KJV): “Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.”

I believe that God wants me to recover all.

Starting with asking God for mercy and forgiveness, promising to forsake all evil, and doing restitution where necessary to strengthen my relationship with God and destroy any leverage the enemy has over me.

John 14:30 (KJV) – “…for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”

I am moving forward to recover all areas that the enemy has afflicted—whether it be academics, work, campus ministry, or family.

I also want to thank God for granting me the grace to open up to my parents, to share my restitution, to ask for prayers, and together, we created a structure to work towards total freedom—because faith without works is dead (James 2:26).

This is another reason why I thank God for raising me in a Christian family.

Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)– “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

It was actually my own mother who encouraged me to tell others so that my healing would be complete.

James 5:16 (KJV) – “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

And so that others, too, could know this truth and be delivered.

John 8:32 (KJV) – “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

I also want to thank God for my pastor, who conducted deliverance prayers for me. This is why I appreciate the Thursday Deliverance Service our church conducts.

I am thankful to my friends who are also praying for me and keeping me accountable.

To you, the reader of my salvation testimony, I wish you total freedom from any hidden sin.

Proverbs 28:13 (KJV) – “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”

I also wish you discipline, strength, the people to keep you accountable, the fear of God to keep you away from evil, and most importantly, I wish you Heaven at Last.

Chosen Fellowship Praise the Lord.

My name is Brother Jonathan. I am a second-year Psychology student at York University. I have been a part of this fellowship for 2 months now, and I am happy to be a Chosen.

During my time here, I have been mightily blessed by God and His word.

The first session that I was in, the word of God really touched my heart and made me want to draw closer to God in my relationship with him. Every session I attend, I come out feeling revived and refreshed. To see Favor and Sandra on fire for God with so much zeal and determination inspires me to be more spiritually inclined and dedicated to God's word. They are doing a fabulous job.
